Jameson will be competing in the Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival baking contest at the end of the month and mom can’t help so today we decide to do a practice round. I think his pie turned out better than mine usually do!
Crust
- 350 gm all purpose flour
- 1 T sugar
- 1/2 salt
- 1 C butter
- 6 – 8 T ice water
Apple Filling
- 2 1/2 pounds apples, peeled and sliced into 1/4 in slices
- 3/4 C sugar
- 3 T all purpose flour
- 1 t cinnamon
- 1 t secret ingredient
- 1 T lemon juice
- 1/8 t salt
Bake
Bake at 425 for 30 minutes, then reduce to 350 and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
