Tomato Bisque
Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup celery chopped
- 1 cup onion chopped
- 1/2 cup carrots chopped
- 2 T flour
- 2 t paprika
- 1/2 tsp marjoram
- 2 t sugar
- 1/2 t curry powder
- 1/2 t white pepper
- 1 t salt
- 2 28 oz canned whole tomatoes drained
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup cream
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt the butter and add the chopped vegetables. Saute until tender
- Add the flour and spices and cook until aborbed.
- Add the drained tomatoes and broth. Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and blend with an imersion blender until completely smooth.
- Stir in the cream and serve.
