Tomato Bisque

Ingredients
  

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup celery chopped
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrots chopped
  • 2 T flour
  • 2 t paprika
  • 1/2 tsp marjoram
  • 2 t sugar
  • 1/2 t curry powder
  • 1/2 t white pepper
  • 1 t salt
  • 2 28 oz canned whole tomatoes drained
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup cream

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, melt the butter and add the chopped vegetables. Saute until tender
  • Add the flour and spices and cook until aborbed.
  • Add the drained tomatoes and broth. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and blend with an imersion blender until completely smooth.
  • Stir in the cream and serve.
