I’ve been thinking about planting some more cut flowers to be able to potentially sell in the shop or just give as gifts. I was a spot by the roses that I think might be a good option, a 5′ x 15′ in ground plot (75 sqft or 7 sqm). Today is the first of the year and the almanac shows our last frost date is January 22, so the timing seems good.
- 2 – 4 inches of compost are recommended = .5 – 1 cubic yard of compost. I used plant based compost for additional organic matter from San Pasqual Soils
- Iron for greener leaves and to decrease the PH (Dr. Iron)
- Fertilizer with Bone Meal (Dr Earth Bud and Bloom)
- Drip Hose with 18 inch spacing
